SNMPWALK works fine for localhost but not for any remote host ip

Hello Support!

I'm trying to do snmpwalk from my nagwin but it is not working for any remote ip address. Your help is much appreciated as I'm stuck here :)

I'm able to do snmpwalk from my other linux machine to this windows server but not vice versa also there is no firewall on or in between server.

My Installation :- Cygwin= C:\cygwin , Nagwin= C:\ICW , Net-SNMP=C:\usr

Library and Environment variable are all set and working for localhost.

Net-SNMP works for both versions of snmpd.conf file:-

agentAddress udp:161,udp6:[::1]:161

Actually, your configuration

Actually, your configuration is not supported by us. If you want to setup net-snmp by your own means, you need to make it available via Cygwin. Fyi, paid versions of Nagwin has net-snmp included.

Hi TK, Thank you for your

Hi TK,

Thank you for your kind reply! Since last 2 days I'm tring to get net-snmp working but even after compiling inside cygwin it doesn't seems to be working, net-snmp windows binary installer seems to be working a little.

We have urgent requirement for Nagwin (nagios on windows) to monitor cisco routers/switches using check_snmp_cisco plugin which will send alerts as an email and sms.

We have plans to get the paid version of Nagwin if we had successful result of monitoring routers/switches.

Your reply is much appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Cowson

It is known that there are

It is known that there are Nagwin installations using snmp monitoring. Unfortunately, we can not provide any help. We support only what we provide from this website.
