I need to be able to re-use the host key everytime i re-install copssh. This is to avoid the clients to accept a new host key every time my product gets re-installed.How do I retrieve this host key in the first place? is it stored in some file? and if so all I have to do is backup that file and re-use the file?

copSSH package is upgrade-aware. When you run the package on an existing installation, only newer files will be copied. Configuration files like host keys will not be overwritten.
Host keys can be found in the inst-dir/etc directory.
