copSSH - public key authentication - unattended installation

Hi,

i am trying to make a unattend installation of copSSH incl. public key authentication from a LINUX box. The basic installation of copSSH is no problem. To get public key working from the LINUX box, i have to create a user root on my W2K03 Server, activate the user for copSSH, modify the sshd_conf accordingly and copy the public key of the LINUX box to /home/root/.sshd . This is working without any problem. And here comes my question: Is there any possibility to get copSSH working with public key without first creating the root user on the Windows box? I´ve checked that copSSH is still working with public key, when i delete the root user in Windows afterwards. I would like to avoid creating the root user e.g. with net user root "password" /add, because the password is then in cleartext in my script for unattended installation, or is there another possibility to create the user with random password without showing it in cleartext? I would delete the user anyway afterwards. Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: copSSH - public key authentication - unattended installation

You need to automated those steps yourself. Copssh can only activate existing users.
