I haven't tried Copssh on

I haven't tried Copssh on 2012 yet. However, a test on Windows 8 was successful with following steps:

  • Start Copssh Control Panel with admin elevation (right click and run as administrator)
  • Give user 'local login' user rights as specified at the FAQ I can't login as an ordinary user !

I will publish my findings when I run a real test on Windows 2012 Server

Assuming you use the latest

Assuming you use the latest installer (4.4.1), running both the installer and control panel with elevated privileges will be enough. Check our blog about the issue.

For older installers, you need to give your user local logon rights as specified at the FAQ I can't login as an ordinary user !

The problem is now solved.

The problem is now solved. Remnants of a previous Copssh installation was probably the culprit.

Hi,

It would have been nice to say what you did :(

I have uninstalled it a dozen times and reinstalled it.

I can start the service... any help would be appreciated. I'm using Windows 2012 Standard...
